iPad Apps in RPS CC21 Classrooms

Teachers and students are well into the trialling of iPad Apps in their classrooms and have created numerous lessons for students. In trialling these Apps we have found that having the iPads permanently in classrooms is a great advantage (being able to use the same set of iPads each time), therefore allowing students to continue their projects on the iPads and permits more time for teachers to view work and work samples.

We have sets of six iPads allocated to three classrooms. We opted for this as part of the trial as the existing iPads in our school were in sets of six. Teachers have commented on the fact that more iPads would be a great benefit.

Teachers have created iBooks for Literacy lessons and used the Focus on Reading methodologies across other Key Learning Areas to allow the students to apply and reinforce these Literacy strategies.
