Hilltop Road is currently participating in the One Education – One Laptop per Child program. Eight teachers and the principal have completed the 15 hours of training to participate in the program. The roll out of the OLPC program began in March 2013; additional classes will participate in the program as staff complete the training. [...]
A nine week (3 hours per week) community computer course is currently supported by a Granville TAFE Outreach facilitator and the Hilltop ICT mentor. 32 community members are participating in the course. The group has been split into two groups beginners and advanced. The course runs each Thursday from 9.30am-12.00pm.
The Hilltop Road CC21 project involves all staff. The leadership team includes a representative from each stage, the ICT mentor and the principal. Additional stage mentors are supporting teams. The leadership team is responding to data, feedback, setting directions and facilitating the use of technology and programs.
